Wick Fisher White provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineer design services for the Riddle Memorial Hospital Healthcare Center IV which was a new four story, 78,800 sf medical office building near Media, Pennsylvania.

Wick Fisher White implemented strategies to obtain additional LEED points in water use reduction, optimized energy performance, enhanced refrigeration management, and controllability of systems for thermal comfort. Wick Fisher White provided energy modeling and utilized high efficient systems and equipment, lighting control systems, and implemented strategies for improved indoor air quality. The second floor of the building features a 7,000 sf physical therapy suite, equipped with treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bicycles, various weight machines, etc. as well as locker and shower facilities for the patients.

The project was completed in May 2011 and received LEED Gold Certification and was also named the winner of the 2010 W.H. Bates Memorial Award for Design Excellence, recognized for “outstanding design and land planning” by the Delaware County Planning Commission.
