The Shops at Coconut Point offers 1.2 million square feet of open-air retail space. There are three distinct areas, The Community Center, The Lakefront and The Village. Dillard's, Barnes & Noble a Muvico Megaplex Threater and several restaurants will anchor the Village along with 100 stores ranging from Bath & Body Works, Brookstone, Express, Express men. The Community Center of Coconut Point will feature approximately 50 stores including Best Buy, DSW, Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond. The Lakefront of Coconut Point serves as a transitional area between The Community Center and The Village. WFW performed the mechanical, plumbing and electrical design including site lighting for all three phases.
Wick Fisher White designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for a new three-story expansion of the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA. Included in the project was a two-story expansion of retail stores above a 140,000 sq. ft. Target Store. The design included a new smoke exhaust system, generator, fire pump, a new roof-mounted chiller for the tenant cooling requirements, and four new rooftop units for the mall common areas.
Target Store: WFW provided the core-and-shell deign for the MEP utilities for the Target Store. WFW was responsible for the coordination of the plumbing, HVAC, electrical and smoke exhaust systems with the Target design team.
Wick Fisher White provided the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, communications and security system design for the construction of a new 180,000 square foot parking and retail facility for St. Joseph's University, located in Philadelphia, PA. The new building is a six-story structure with tenant retail space on the first floor and open deck parking on the upper five floors.
Smith Haven Mall is a one-story, 800,000 square foot mall which opened in 1969 and offers approximately 150 shops and restaurants. Wick Fisher White provided engineering for the multi-million dollar renovation project in which a Lifestyle Village replaced the now defunct Stern's department store. Lifestyle Village retailers include Dick's Sporting Goods, Barnes & Noble as well as the Cheesecake Factory.
Burlington Mall is an upscale retail center with three department stores and over 150 stores. The department stores are Lord & Taylor, Macy's and Sears and the various specialty shops include Ann Taylor, Coach, Apple Computer, Lucky Jeans, Jasmine Sola, or L'Occitane. Burlington Mall also houses a 775 seat food court and such restaurants as Legal Sea Foods, Rainforest Caf, and the Cheesecake Factory. WFW was part of the design team for the mall renovation in 2004. Recently, WFW designed the mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems for the mall's expansion to add a new Nordstrom's Anchor store.
Wick Fisher White was responsible for the design of the new and the extension of the existing mechanical and electrical systems to accommodate a two-level expansion of the existing mall to connect to a new Nordstrom’s. The expansion totaled approximately 105,000 square feet and included the expansion of the main mall concourse and two levels of additional small shop tenants. In addition to the expansion, WFW performed the MEP design for the entire renovation of the existing mall. As part of this project, we also designed the utilities for a new mall entrance and made provisions for two new restaurants.
The Mall at Chestnut Hill features Macy's, Bloomingdales, and 60 other specialty boutiques
and restaurants like Papa Razzi, and Cafe Vanille. WFW's work involved designing
improvements to the mall concourse including:
Modifications to the existing interior lighting that included replacing
most of the existing fixtures, as well as adding new.
Modifications to the existing floors that included new flooring, removal
of the elevated court and defined conversation areas, as well as the provision
for new floor receptacles to accommodate approximately six to ten additional
carts and/or kiosks.
Provision of a new enlarged public restroom Provision of a new elevator.
Wick Fisher White was the engineer for the 120,000 square foot renovation and addition of a Lifestyle Village at the Lehigh Valley Mall, the largest mall in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. The mall originally opened in 1976 and house approximately 130 specialty stores including American Eagle Outfitters, Express, bebe, Bath & Body Works, Gap and Hot Topic. The Mall is anchored by department stores including JCPenney's, Boscov's and Macy's.
