WFW desired to become LEED Accredited, not because it was "the thing to do", but because of a belief in our ideals to provide efficient and sustainable building solutions to our clients. It is these ideals which influence all of our projects. We are committed to energy efficient design.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) emphasizes state of the art strategies for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality. Professional designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate their knowledge of "green building practices," integrated design, and the capacity to facilitate the LEED certification process.

LEED Accreditation is obtained by successfully demonstrating knowledge of green building design, practices, and strategies, and a thorough understanding of the LEED Green Building Rating System on the LEED Professional Accreditation Exam. Developed by the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), the LEED rating system evaluates environmental performance from a "whole building" perspective over a building's life cycle, providing a definitive standard for what constitutes a "green building."
