Wick Fisher White designed the engineering systems for a $15 million dollar Performing Arts Center for Shippensburg University which includes a 300 person black box theatre, a 2000 seat performing arts auditorium and all the associated backstage and support areas.

Wick Fisher White has been the consulting engineering firm of choice for Morey’s Piers for over 10 years. Morey’s Piers, located on the boardwalk in the Wildwoods NJ, is a seaside amusement park that spans over eighteen acres along six beach blocks, including three amusement piers and two beachfront waterparks. Morey’s Piers operations include a substantial electrical infrastructure and water delivery systems. Wick Fisher White provides day-to-day engineering support as well as design for larger-scale addition and renovation projects. Our capacity to support all types of systems and projects as well as react immediately to urgent needs has allowed us to maintain an excellent relationship with Morey’s Piers. Recent projects include two new boardwalk restaurants, a mirror maze attraction, an interactive haunted ship attraction, electrical service upgrades and a wind power study.

WFW provided MEP design services for the construction of a six story, 90,000 square foot addition to the Wachovia Center Arena sports and entertainment complex in Philadelphia, PA. The upper four floors of the addition consist of executive office space for multiple tenants of Comcast-Spectacor, the facility's owner. The ground floor is an extension of the existing arena's main concourse and houses the facility's security offices, as well as a "Chickie and Pete's" and "Steve's Prince of Steaks" concession stands. These concession stands front a new food court dining area with a full service bar and outdoor seating during warm weather events. A new kitchen is provided in the basement level to support the ever increasing catering needs of Aramark, the main food service vendor for the Wachovia Center complex.

The HVAC systems that support the stadium's state-of-the-art amenities and services are critical to creating and sustaining a relaxing and enjoyable environment for the fans. That's why the Philadelphia Eagles contracted Wick Fisher White to provide commissioning services for the stadium's newly installed heating and closed circuit cooling systems. As commissioning agent, WFW was responsible for ensuring that the equipment and systems perform as intended.
Our scope of services included:
-Creation of testing and commissioning plan
-Review and approval of contractors' equipment and system startup procedures
-Creation of pre-functional and functional performance test requirements
-Functional performance testing
-Commissioning action list (issues to be addressed by design and construction team
-Verification of contractor closeout requirements (training, warrantees, O&M manuals, record drawings, etc.)
WFW promotes "building systems commissioning" as a quality assurance process. Resolving issues during the commissioning process will prevent problems from arising down the road.

Wick Fisher White documented the redevelopment of the Boardwalk at Asbury Park in the summer of 2008. This extensive and fast-tracked project included the renovation and re-tenanting of the First, Third and Fifth Avenue Pavilions. As part of the project, we performed the majority of the shell and fit-out work for more than a dozen tenants, including the mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical system design.

Wick Fisher White provided the necessary engineering design for a 7,700 sq. ft. renovation to provide space to house the Philadelphia Water Department’s Interpretation / History of Water exhibits. Design included HVAC, fire protection, power, lighting and fire alarm.

The Liberty 360 show in the PECO Theater is Philadelphia’s first high definition, 3D, 360° attraction which currently depicts the history of the City of Philadelphia. The theater opened in the fall of 2010 and consists of a three foot high platform in a 50 foot diameter space enclosed by an 8’ high screen having the capacity to entertain up to 60 guests at a time. Wick Fisher White provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and structural design services to support the design team’s vision of this high-tech tourist attraction. In addition to the theater itself, the design included retail space, the box office and information desks, restrooms, and an audiovisual area housing critical 24/7 computer equipment. WFW also provided aid to the contractor in the design of several major design build elements including the design of the screen/drum enclosure and the structural support of the main AV equipment ring above the theater.

The National constitution Center engaged WFW to perform RetroCommissioning of existing building systems for it's main facility located on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, PA. A water chilled plant, boiler plant and 11 air handling units and associated system were included within the scope of work. A plan was developed to document this equipment and all system functions. WFW then created testing procedures and directed building personnel in performance of functional testing. All results were then documented to note system issues and deficiencies. The goal of the operation of building system with improved control, energy efficiency and comfort was successfully achieved. WFW continues to provide engineering services to upgrade the building. Over the past year, we have completed many projects for the museum which include infrastructure upgrades of boilers, humidifiers, controls and air quality.

WFW was responsible for the electrical design of the power distribution and the control of the new aisle lighting for the museum's auditorium.

WFW provided HVAC and plumbing design for the new 7,500 square foot, three-story building for the Taft Education Center located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This new building serves as a Vistor's Center for the National Park Services.
